Hi, I’m Steve Anderson, host of The Holistic Practitioner podcast. For the last 20 or so years, I’ve dedicated my life to the study and practice of Chinese Medicine. In all these years, I’ve never had a day where I felt like I didn’t want to go to work…this still amazes me!
Over the past couple of years, I’ve become intensely interested in functional medicine and how much of an impact nutrition, exercise, stress management, and lifestyle changes can have on one’s health.
Apart from reading, one of my favorite ways to learn is through listening to podcasts.
In 2016, I decided to study with Chris Kresser to give my approach to learning about functional medicine more structure. Once the course got started, I was amazed at the diversity and experience of the participants of Chris Kresser’s ADAPT Functional Medicine Course, and very quickly it dawned on me that I would love to talk with these people about their experiences as holistic healthcare practitioners. And this is how The Holistic Practitioner Podcast started.
My hope for the podcast is to learn about the experiences of healthcare providers. Although the emphasis of the show is on the business of practicing holistic medicine, most practitioners specialize or focus on specific health conditions, and so I’m hoping exploring how each practitioner approaches treatment of these various pathologies will be of interest to people who love learning about health and healing in general.
My goal is to make this podcast excellent, and so if you have any suggestions or feedback for me as a host or if you have a guest who you think would be a good fit for the show, I’d love to hear from you.
P.S. If you like the show, take the time to pop over to iTunes and leave a quick review as this helps other people find it.
